About
I would say that my journey into photography has taken a few more years than most. My background and education have always been centered around numbers – accounting, cost analysis, and other boring business things. There is no doubt that the most important day in my life, other than the birth of my children and wedding day, was January 9, 2009. This is the day that I lost my job, but I found my passion. There are not to many times in life where you get to choose what you want to do.
Growing up I can still remember looking through Life Magazine and National Geographic and was completely amazed how these photos were taken. The timing, lighting, surroundings, and the emotions that were in each picture.
Who will ever forget this picture,
and my favorite.
Like every other photographer, one needs to decide what they are going to photograph. This decision comes from within and you will know and feel what you want to shot. For me, it is portraits, landscapes, and events.
With the help of a few friends, Peter and Greg at Proud Photography.com, I gained a better understanding of my camera. I read just about everything I could get my hands on, studied the work of other photographers, and took a lot of pictures. And I mean a lot of pictures!!!!
My favorite photography author is David Duchemin. David writes in a way that everyone can understand his points. His ebooks are short and right to the point. If you are interested in photography, you should reads his books. They will only make you a better photographer.
I realize that I could not chase my dream without the love and support of my wife Sherri. I owe so much to her and I will work a lifetime to pay her back.
